When to choose Kleenguard A40
A40 is the choice for intensive work with tear risk, when maximum non-woven strength is needed. Production, manual labor with tools, painting (silicone-free).
When it is not suitable: hot conditions, long-term wear — A40 is the densest non-woven, breathes less; SMS Comfort or NS CoolSuit. Type 4 is needed — IntegraWay or 3M 4565. Bio-protection EN 14126 is needed — Ansell 2000 Standard or MicroMax TS.

Kleenguard A40 is the choice for intensive work with high mechanical load: moving through narrow spaces, working with sharp edges, tasks with tear risk. Reflex-design (12% more chest volume, 6% longer than standard) is important for large builds and tasks requiring a wide range of motion. 76 g/m² — the highest density among non-wovens in the catalog.
When NOT to choose Kleenguard A40
No EN 14126 — for biological risks choose Lakeland MicroMax TS or TECRON PRO. If a laminated barrier against chemical splashes is needed — TECRON PRO (PVC seams) or Delta Plus DT115 (microporous laminate). A40 is spunbond without lamination, which reduces its liquid barrier properties compared to laminated analogs.
How it differs from other models
Against DuPont Tyvek 500 Xpert (42 g/m²): A40 is almost twice as dense (76 vs 42 g/m²), mechanically stronger, but inferior to Tyvek in zero-lint properties. Against Delta Plus DT115 (60 g/m², Deltatek): A40 is stronger (76 vs 60 g/m²), triple seams vs standard, but DT115 is a laminate. Manufacturer Kimberly-Clark claims A40 superiority over Tyvek in barrier properties under standard conditions (based on ASTM F1670/F1671 data).
