DuPont Tyvek® 500 Xpert is a lightweight disposable coverall made of patented Tyvek® material (unlaminated flash-spun high-density polyethylene). Type 5B-6B. EN 14126, EN 1073-2, EN 1149-5. Zero linting. The lightest professional coverall in the catalog (42 g/m²). A direct competitor to TECRON PRO: both are Type 5/6 + full EN-package, but different materials and purposes.
Tyvek® breathes through the fiber structure itself — not through micropores. External overlocked seams with patented high-tightness technology. Ideal for cleanrooms, automotive painting, and pharmaceuticals.

When to choose Tyvek 500 Xpert
Tyvek is the choice for cleanrooms, automotive painting (zero lint), pharmaceuticals, electronics. When the DuPont brand and minimal surface contamination are important.
When it is not suitable: a maximum liquid barrier at the seams is needed — TECRON PRO (PVC-taped seams). Type 4 is needed — IntegraWay ExtraSafe or 3M 4565. Chemical protection is needed — Chemi Pro.
Why choose DuPont Tyvek 500 Xpert
Tyvek 500 Xpert is the only choice when zero linting is critical: painting cars and aircraft in clean booths, chip and electronics manufacturing, ISO class 5–7 pharmaceutical cleanrooms. The HDPE (high-density polyethylene) fiber structure does not form particles during friction — unlike spunbond (Casper, Kleenguard A40) and laminates (TECRON, IntegraWay).
When NOT to choose DuPont Tyvek 500 Xpert
When working with chemical liquids and splashes — without taped seams, the risk of penetration through the seam is higher than with TECRON PRO (PVC seams). For maximum class biological risks — Lakeland MicroMax TS (heat-sealed seams, ISO 16604 Class 6). For regular paintwork (not cleanrooms) — TECRON Classic Light or Ansell 1500 Plus are cheaper with comparable protection.
How it differs from other models
The only one in the catalog made of Tyvek material (unlaminated HDPE). Tyvek breathes uniformly across the entire surface due to the fiber structure, not film micropores. The lightest professional coverall in the catalog (42 g/m²) — lighter than TECRON Classic Light (45 g/m²). Against Kleenguard A40 (spunbond, 76 g/m²): Kleenguard is mechanically stronger, Tyvek is zero-lint and lighter. Against TECRON PRO: Tyvek is cheaper but inferior in seams (no PVC taping).
