EN 14126 Biohazard and EN 1149-5 Antistatic protection
EN 14126 certificate confirms a barrier against viruses and bacteria — critical in infectious zones, when working with sewage and biological waste. EN 1149-5 (antistatic) prevents charge accumulation — mandatory in zones with flammable liquids. EN 1073-2 — protection against radioactive contamination.
When to choose TECRON PRO
TECRON PRO is the choice when maximum protection in the disposable Type 5/6 class is needed: cleaning tanks from petroleum products, working with sewage and biological fluids, emergency situations with toxic substance aerosols, working in zones with radiation contamination. PVC seams are critical when liquid contact is inevitable.
When NOT to choose TECRON PRO
Not suitable for working with liquid jets under pressure (Type 4 and higher). For petrochemistry with directional splashes, choose IntegraWay ExtraSafe (Type 4) or TECRON Chemi Pro (Type 3B, TPU seams). For dry painting work — TECRON Classic Light (45 g/m², more affordable). If biohazard protection is not needed — TECRON SMS Comfort is more economical with similar mechanical strength.
How it differs from other models
Against TECRON Classic Light: twice as dense (65 vs 45 g/m²), PVC seams (Classic Light has external overlock), EN 14126 (Classic Light — no). Against IntegraWay ExtraSafe: ExtraSafe is Type 4 (higher class), but only GOST, without EN 14126. Against Lakeland MicroMax TS: TS has heat-sealed seams and ISO 16604 Cl. 6 — higher biohazard protection, but more expensive. TECRON PRO is the best balance of price and protection among Type 5/6 with PVC seams.
