3M FF-402 Isolating Full Face Mask with Scotchgard™ lens against chemicals

The main difference of the 3M FF-402 is the unique Scotchgard™ protective lens coating. It effectively repels dirt, liquids, and paint splashes, allowing the lens to remain transparent even in the most aggressive environments. This is the only panoramic mask that is extremely easy to clean after work, which significantly extends the product's service life.

The innovative lens coating minimizes paint and chemical adhesion. Droplets simply roll off the surface, maintaining ideal peripheral vision.

The soft nose cup made of hypoallergenic silicone provides a snug fit, while optimal weight distribution makes the mask practically imperceptible during long-term use.

The 3M™ Cool Flow™ exhalation valve effectively removes excess heat and moisture from under the mask. This prevents fogging of the panoramic lens and facilitates breathing in high-temperature conditions.

The bayonet mounting system allows the use of any 3M™ filters (e.g., 6051, 6057, 6059), turning the mask into a specialized RPE against radiation, ammonia, or acid gases.

The 3M FF-402 is justified where aggressive environments pose a risk of chemical splash to eyes and facial skin: intensive painting work, zones with acid splashes and corrosive gases. For tasks without risk of chemical splash, where the priority is a wide peripheral view, consider the 3M 6800: its larger panoramic lens provides a wider viewing angle. The FF-402 has a slightly narrower viewing angle due to the Scotchgard™ coated construction.

The main difference from the 3M 6800 is the Scotchgard™ lens coating, which is not available on the 6800. It physically prevents paint and chemical splashes from sticking, reducing decontamination time. The viewing angle of the FF-402 is narrower than that of the 6800. The filter bayonet and compatibility with 6000 series accessories, including the 3M 6897 head strap, are identical for both masks.
