The 3M 8822 (FFP2) professional protective respirator is a reliable filtering half mask specially developed for operation in heavy industrial conditions with high physical loads. Thanks to its cup-shaped form with stiffening ribs, the product maintains its original shape regardless of mechanical crushing, ensuring stable protection throughout the shift.

The 3M 8822 model guarantees effective respiratory protection against cement, food, and wood dust, as well as mists (liquid condensates) and solid particles with low toxicity at concentrations up to 12 PEL.
Increased Reliability
The headgear straps have 4 attachment points and are fixed with steel staples, virtually eliminating the risk of detachment during operation.
Comfort System
The respirator is equipped with a hypoallergenic soft inner layer and an improved nose clip with a sweat-absorbing pad, which prevents skin irritation and ensures airtightness.
Thermoregulation
The integrated 3M™ Cool Flow™ exhalation valve minimizes breathing resistance, effectively removing heat and moisture from under the mask, which is critical when working in high-temperature conditions.

When to Choose
The 3M 8822 is a classic construction and industrial RPE for tasks with moderate FFP2 class dust threats: wood grinding, working with gypsum, cement, stone, and mineral wool; sandblasting, concrete drilling. The valve reduces breathing resistance and heat stress. The 4-point straps provide a stable fit even during sudden movements.
When NOT to Choose
If the work environment contains highly toxic dust (silica, metals, radioactive particles)—use 3M 9332 (FFP3, up to 50 PEL). in medical conditions where valved RPE cannot be used, use 3M 8210 (without valve). The 8822 is a single-use RPE: if a reusable solution is needed, consider the 3M 6200 (M).
Differences from 3M 9332 and 3M Aura 9322+
The 8822 is a cup-shaped FFP2 with a valve. The 3M 9332 is also cup-shaped but FFP3 (≥99% vs ≥94%). The 3M Aura 9322+ is a three-panel FFP2 NR D: it folds into a pocket, creates more internal volume when worn, and distributes pressure more evenly across the face contour.
