3M 6057 (ABE1) Gas Filter against chlorine and acid gases for masks
The 3M 6057 replacement filter for half masks provides combined ABE1 class protection. This gas filter is designed to neutralize organic and inorganic vapors, as well as acid gases. The model effectively filters air from chlorine, hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide, and chlorine dioxide, making it a mandatory RPE element in electrolyte production, work with acids, and chemical laboratories.

For comprehensive protection, it is recommended to use 3M™ 5911, 5925, or 5935 pre-filters. They are attached to the main filter using the 3M™ 501 holder.

When to choose
The 3M 6057 (ABE1) filter is indispensable for a complex of threats: organic vapors (A), chlorine and hydrogen bromide (B), acid gases (E). Typical scenarios: treatment plants with chlorination, hydrochloric acid production, metal etching, electroplating. Compatible with P1/P2/P3 pre-filters via the 3M™ 501 holder.
When NOT to choose
The 6057 (ABE1) filter does not protect against ammonia (Class K). If ammonia is present in the working area, choose the 3M 6059 (ABEK1). For work strictly with organic vapors without acid gases, the 3M 6051 (A1) is more economical.
How it differs from other filters
Unlike the 3M 6051 (A1), the 6057 filter contains sorbent layers to neutralize inorganic vapors (B) and acid gases (E) — chlorine and SO₂. Compared to the 3M 6059 (ABEK1): it has no protection against ammonia (K). The 6057 housing and bayonet are completely identical to the 6051 and 6059.
